The end of season club banquet has been scheduled for 5:00 pm on Sunday, June 1st at Cucina!Cucina! in Issaquah. Please let Cindy know if you are able to attend. Parents, siblings and friends are welcome. The more the merrier. Cucina!Cucina! will again be donating 15% of food sales from the evening to our program.

We are heading into our final stretch of the club season. It's been a wonderful season so far. As a club, we have accomplished a lot. Thanks for all the help from coaches, players and parents who helped make it a positive season for Moxie Juniors!

Thanks to all the youth players, parents, coaches, adult players and community supporters who dined at Cucina!Cucina! on Sunday to help raise funds for Moxie Volleyball. We had over 80 people in attendance. Special thanks to Jeff Raab for coordinating with the restaurant and putting up decorations before the event.

Come support the first all club fundraiser dinner at Cucina Cucina in Issaquah on Sunday, April 20th from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Friends, family and neighbors are welcome. Let your coach know how many you are bringing to this event, so we can give the restaurant a head count. Remember to bring your flyer to present to your server!

We are heading into the last two months of the season with April coming right around the corner. Check the club calendar often to make sure you are aware of any schedule changes!

15s and 16s practice on Sunday from 3-5 pm. This will be a make-up practice due to unexpected facilities closure at Forest Ridge on Monday in observance of the Easter holiday. Please contact your coach if you are unable to make practice.

Congratulations to the 18s team for taking 2nd place in the 18s Silver division at the Evergreen Volleyball Club 18s tournament on Sunday, March 9th at Evergreen State College!

The 18s tournament schedule for April has changed. The team will be playing at Kentridge High School on Saturday, April 26th. The tournament schedule and calendar have both been updated.

February 10, 2008

Moxie 15s played at Highline Community College on Saturday, February 9th for their second tournament outing. Despite losing some players to the latest flu bug and school dances, the team managed to squeeze out a game win.

Moxie 16s traveled to Burlington-Edison High School on Sunday morning. Despite a winless day, the team continued to improve. Coach Emily saw moments of brilliance throughout the day. There is still much work to accomplish to get the moments to become streaks then games, eventually leading to match wins.

The 14s team made a long drive to Olympia to play their second tournament at Evergreen State College. The girls put their knowledge of the 5-1 system to the test this weekend and made a good effort to stay in the system for the entire tournament. Despite dropping every game the girls showed great improvement overall, especially in serving.

January 29, 2008

Moxie 16s traveled to Kentwood High School on Saturday, January 26th to compete in their first USAV tournament of the season. Moxie 16s faced Lake Tapps 15s from Puyallup, Wahine 16 Black Kolohe and Puget Sound 16 Silver in pool play. The girls had a rough start, but managed to improve on the day. The team made a quick exit from the silver bracket after losing in two games to Saturday's Warriors 16 Fire.

The 15s and 18s teams played on Sunday, January 27th at Highline Community College. The 18s competed very well in their pool with a few close games against tough 18s competition. The 15s team won a game this weekend and improved quite a bit, but it wasn't enough to allow them to continue playing after the 1st round of playoffs.

January 13, 2008

Moxie 14s played in their first competition at Bellevue Community College today. From start to finish, the team made great improvements winning their last game in pool play and giving many teams a nice run leading up to the win. In the lower bracket playoff, the 14s fought hard and lost to Sudden Impact in the second round. 14s finished tied for 3rd in the lower bracket.
